Oh snap, indeed!
Captain Cal here and I again bring you the latest patch notes for the ever-awesome World of Cars Online. Now, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "Cal, how is it that you can maintain such awesomeness and not explode from so much awesomeness?"
I have to tell you, it's not easy.
I spent a lot of time practicing before I took this job, and even then I had to take some time to really learn how to control such epic awesome. None the less, I persevere for you guys. I really do and I think it's been worth it. I see you guys out there on the tracks, training and kicking tailpipe and I think to myself, "Daa-GUM, I'm gonna have to step up the awesome."
It's true. Anyway, how about the latest patch notes? Before you get crackin' on these things, let me just point out the first point in the notes. A lot of you have sent us feedback regarding the artwork on the collectable Badges in the game. We are aware of this issue and we're updating them as we get new artwork. So don't sweat it too much, all the badges will eventually be converted over.
So, on with the notes!
Patch Notes (01.15.09):
- Badges: Okay, so most people don't read patch notes, but this one's kind of important. We know there are placeholder and non-matching images for a number of badges. We are slowly replacing these as we get new artwork. This patch includes an update for a number of badges. We are aware of this, and we are updating, I promise!
- Fixed an issue with Race Numbers, you may notice your number reset to "00". If this is the case, you probably had a number that wasn't supposed to be allowed. Ooooh, busted!
- Fixed an issue with the Training Track in that you couldn't get to the track from the RSN.
- Updated the Help Section with updated verbiage. Super exciting, no doubt.
- Fixed an issue where a user couldn't edit their Race Codes once they entered them, which meant if you messed up, you couldn't fix it without closing and reopening the Race Code Redemption window. Entering Race Codes should now be 100% less lame.
- Fixed an issue with the RSN displaying long racer names too close to the track time and overlapping one another. Now if your name is "Superfastracingtypecarthingthatdrivesreallyfastontheroad" you should be able to see your time. I really hope that's not your name.
- Fixed an audio issue where upon exiting a race before you've finished (*cough*hax*cough*) the music for that particular track kept playing. This should be completely fixed now. Seriously, we got it this time.
- Fixed a issue with the "Congratulations" pop-up after creating a new car. It should now correctly display your name instead of, "Congratulations, Null". Unless your name is 'Null', everything is all good now.
- Fixed the description of "Chick Hicks Green" to remove the word, 'apropos'. In theory, the new description is much funnier and easier to understand. You may be amused now.
- Removed the old color, "Living Lavender Loca" and replaced it with a new silver color called, "Gray Vee". Apparently Silver is the new Lavender.
- Other magically behind-the-scenes changes have also been incorporated in this build. These range from performance to visual updates.
So there you go, another update, another week of awesome racing.
Keep in mind that we do read ALL of your feedback and comments, so if you're happy with something, or you want to tell me how incredibly awesome and handsome I am, feel free. Heck, you can even send suggestions on what you'd like to see in the upcoming launch of the game and we'll make sure it gets to the right ears.
Well, until next time, kick some pipe!

If have just one question, the codes that are not allowed, how would people get them? like are they from cars that REALLY aren't supposed to be released yet, like if the took a vacation found, lets say "Jay Limo", which i know will be released shortly, would that be a code that is not allowed?
When are all the race codes going to release because I have about five race codes that have not come out.Plus are we going to get higher speed for our cars when the game comes out.
Trigger U-turnracer, all of the race codes i think will be released when the "Race-O-Rama" series of the Disney/Pixar Cars Diecast line is done.
I love these patch posts! (I know that sounds a little crazy, but let me explane,) You do them in such a funny way, they don't seem boring at all! I think the funniest part is, "Unless your name is 'Null', everything is all good now." Hahaha!
A little dose of worldofcars.com is just what the doctor ordered!
SO MUCH FUN! Cant wait until the full launch! I wish the view of the race track would put ME in the driver seat though..maybe that is going to come along when the game is complete? Who knows! Happy Gaming.
Good greetings cal, I just have to say I love how this game is looking and can't wait 'til this is done! But when this is all done I hope we have big piston cup races like a 100 laps and if we win we get a prize! okay T.T.F.N
da best. Keep it going! Thank you
Dear Cal (And All World Of Cars Players),I Know What's Cool You Can Make A Custoumizer So When You Come Up To A Car And You Want to Have Something That The Other Car Has You Can Just Click On The Custoumizer And Then You Can Click On The Thing You Want. (hope this works) From Thunder McBolts
hey, cal. just wondering if some of the accessories will include a lightning bolt for like lightning mcqueen (i noticed that u couldn't put 86 for chick hicks or 95 for lightning mcqueen) if not the kind that mcqueen had, then some other kind like the pitt crew ramone. also, when the full version comes out, and the controlled chat is incorporated, can u put some phrases where u could actually carry on a conversation that communicates something to another car? :) thanx if u can read my VERY LONG but URGENT comment/question *_*

Hey, Cal. Uh, listen: I typed in some more codes for some Cars Coins, but, for some reason, I can't seem to get Dextor Hover and Lightning Storm McQueen. The site said I all ready have them. But I don't could you fix this? Thanks.
P.S. If you're still thinking about putting in something special so that we can make our own paint designs or coztomize our garages, let me know.
P.P.S. Maybe you could also put in a program that allows us to put in our own music for our garage or racing on the track. Personaly, I have a few songs that I like to race to. You know, just something to think about.
Okay. Bye!
